Can you win by post?
Yes! All entry methods are placed in the same draw - there is no advantage for paid entries.
Does anyone ever win these TV competitions?
How are ITV competition winners chosen?
All tv competitions use a prize draw for selecting a winner. All entries (paid and free) are placed into a draw and the winner is selected at random. Paid do not have increased odds of winning. The draw to select winners usually take place 1 week after the closing date.
How would I know if I won? How are winners contacted?
Winners are informed by a phone call – the promoter will attempt to get in touch for 4 weeks before selecting another winner.
Are the prizes genuine? How can such extravagant packages be given away?
Entries via premium rate phone numbers have the potential to generate a lot of money! The prize packages are often sponsored, in exchange for donating products towards the package, companies receive primetime TV endorsements and exposure to millions of viewers.
What are the chances of winning ITV Competitions?
As each show has millions of viewers, the odds are very small unfortunately! For the first half of 2020, ITV plc state they earned ~£40m from Direct to Consumer revenue (Competitions, ITV Hub, BritBox) with ‘significant portion’ generated solely by competitions. During that period, there was around 25 competitions shown, each probably receiving more than 150,000 paid entries!
How many times can I enter a competition?
ITV competitions can be entered multiple times – sometimes as high as 30 entries, check the terms and conditions to see exact number. Some competitions have offers running, i.e. enter 3 times for the price of 2. For postal entries, 1 envelope = 1 entry. Multiple entries inside the same envelope will be counted as one.
