Advent Calendar Competitions
Free advent calendar competitions, updated daily through December. Every competition below is free to enter, open to UK residents and links straight through to the official entry page - with the closing date shown so you can see what is still live.
The 2026 advent competitions are not open yet. Brands and magazines launch their calendars from mid-November, and this page fills up as they do. In the meantime, browse the latest free UK competitions or the competitions added today.
How Advent Calendar Competitions Work
An advent competition is a calendar with a prize behind every door. From 1 December a brand, magazine or competition site opens one door a day until Christmas Eve, and each door is its own separate draw with its own prize and its own closing time - normally midnight that night. That is the important bit: 24 doors means 24 chances, not one. Entering on the 3rd has no bearing on whether you can enter on the 4th.
Prizes usually start small and build towards the 24th, so the early doors are often the easiest to win and the ones most people skip. Each listing here shows what is behind the door, when it closes, and whether the competition takes one entry or a new entry every day.
Win an Advent Calendar
The other half of this page is draws where the advent calendar is the prize. Luxury beauty calendars are the big ones - the sort that retail for a few hundred pounds and sell out in a morning - alongside chocolate, gin, whisky, candle, skincare and children's toy calendars. These are usually single-entry draws with one closing date rather than a door a day, and they open earlier than the 24-door calendars because the products go on sale in October.
If you are specifically after a calendar as a prize rather than a daily game, sort by closing date and enter the ones ending soonest first - these draws close well before December so they can post the calendar in time.
Online Advent Calendar Competitions
Almost every advent competition now runs online rather than by post, which is what makes them practical to enter daily. Most take an email address and a name; some ask a simple question about the brand, and where an answer is needed we show a suggested one on the listing. A handful run through a social post instead, and those are marked so you know what you are signing up for before you click through.
Set a reminder for the same time each day and work through the open doors in one sitting - it takes a few minutes once the entries are in your browser's autofill. Everything on this page is checked and dead links are removed, so you are not spending December clicking through to expired competitions.
Getting the Most From Advent Comps
December is the busiest month of the year for competition entries, so the odds on any single prize are worse than they would be in June. The way round that is volume rather than selectivity. Enter every door you are eligible for instead of holding out for the big-ticket prize on the 24th, which is the one everybody enters. Check back through the month too - new calendars keep launching into early December, and the ones that start late have had far fewer entries by the time they close.
